The results of joint innovation projects contest conducted by the Skolkovo Fund, leading power grid companies of FGC EU JSC, IDC Holding and RZD JSC are announced. 46 companies are the participants, 12 of them are the finalists which presented their projects on the day of debriefing. The jury determined 3 winners. We consider them as the most promising companies, and pleased to invite them to Skolkovo – the head of Skolkovo energy efficiency cluster Vasily Belov said.
Among the winners is Basalt Business Association company, which introduced a project of composite basalt pylons development for 110-220 kilowatt power lines. Thanks to their project, the industry will get new transmission line pylons, which, according to the developers will be 20-50% cheaper than the existing analogue and provide more stable networks in general.
Elektrokompozit Company offers new type of wires with composite cores project. The wires are stronger, more flexible and cheaper than their existing analogs.
Center of Micromechanics and advanced materials presented a project of non-insulated wires with increased resistance to icing for power lines. The essence of the project is the production of quasicrystals coated wires to prevent icing.
There are several companies among the finalists: LISIS company with the project of integrated automation development, protection and substations equipment control; Energia RSC that created a system for remote pilotless vehicles power supply; Energoprojekt CJSC that conducts the research on the superconductive power key development; Plasma-tool LLC that creates a new thin-film material insulators created in vacuum and other companies highly praised by the jury.
