The scheme of INOTomsk'2020 project management approved in the Tomsk region The scheme of INOTomsk'2020 project management was approved at the first meeting of the Board on implementing in the Tomsk region the concept of creating a center of education, research and development, chaired by Governor Viktor Kress, reported the press service of the regional administration.

The project will be implemented in four areas: development of Tomsk scientific and educational park, building a university campus, development of innovative business and infrastructure, as well as creating a comfortable environment and necessary infrastructure. Special working groups headed by co-chairs were created for each of these areas.

Working groups including expert representatives from business, scientific and educational complex and authorities are to develop implementation plans for the area in March and April - the so-called road maps with the description of goals and scenarios, specifying the participants and their actions, timing, scope and funding sources, executives in charge, goal achievement indicators, etc.

Strategic project management will be carried out by the Board on implementing in the Tomsk region the project of creating a center of education, research and development - INOTomsk'2020 Board.

As noted at the meeting of the INOTomsk'2020 Board, such management scheme, involving various stakeholders and experts must contribute to achieving the main goal of the project - creating in the Tomsk region a powerful innovation center on the existing educational, research and production base with the addition of the necessary elements of innovation, transport and social infrastructure.

The main objective of the INOTomsk'2020 project is concentration of intellectual resources in seven general areas: continuous and multi-level model of education; energy-saving technologies and technical tools for energy-intensive industries; nanoelectronics and intelligent power electronics; nanotechnology, advanced materials creation and development of the beam, plasma, and of electric discharge technology; medicine of high technology, medical biotechnology and pharmtechnology; rational nature management and deep processing of natural resources; nuclear technology.
