Regions - Sustainable Development award applications accepting started

The Regions - Sustainable Development project held by the instructions of the Government of the Russian Federation, provides the regions, municipalities and businesses a real opportunity to implement investment projects in the infrastructure sector.

The contest organizers are the Savings of Russia OJSC, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE), the Russian Union of Chemists, Green Patrol All-Russian public organization, Investment in water supply and sanitation LLC.

The project aims at bring together the efforts of public authorities, commercial and public organizations to solve problems in the infrastructure sector, including housing and communal services (HCS), water and sanitation (WSS) and in the field of waste management.

Selecting the best projects in these areas will be held within the competition. The project offers a real chance on creating a more favorable environment, innovation and advanced technologies implementation, modernization of industrial facilities and the ecological security establishment in every region by attracting private investors.

The winners are provided return funding for implementing the projects of the real sector of economy announced for the competition and water and sanitation industry projects, housing areas, to the extent approved by the Presidium of the Organizing Committee. Total funding for one project may not exceed 1 B RUR. In addition, winners receive counseling (consulting) support on legal, finance, strategic planning and other questions related to the project.
