RVC to help the Russian start-ups take part in MassChallenge2012
The American Mission of the Russian Venture Company, Russian Venture Company USA Inc. (RVC USA), acting this year as a platinum partner of the international competition MassChallenge 2012, reminds promising Russian projects aimed at global markets about the opportunity to get priceless experience in dealing with American mentors and to attract U.S. investors in the project.
RVC USA participation in the MassChallenge competition aims at creating conditions that will facilitate the Russian projects’ entry into the international market, which is the part of the Russian innovation industry globalization program, provided by RVC OJSC business plan in 2012.
How to apply for the competition? Application to the contest is submitted at www.masschallenge.org. In order to cut off deliberately weak projects, organizers charge a fee for filing an application ($ 199). But, firstly, the RVC staff can recommend the registered Russian projects, and then payment is not required. Secondly, the organizers promise to return the fee to all appropriate projects admitted to the competition.
Duplicate your applications to the RVC (pichugin.ig @ rusventure.ru), RVC USA (michelle.lampa @ rvc-usa.com) and to the Startup Access (info@startup-access.com). RVC USA will provide three (at least) projects passing in the MassChallenge semi-final within Fast Track program. These projects will be selected by the experts of the RVC and RVC USA, and Startup Access will help with applications registration and communicating with the MassChallenge organizing committee.
The deadline of applications accepting is April 11. Note (on the competition website www.masschallenge.org) certain conditions: in particular, projects that have already received investment of more than $ 500000 are not allowed to compete.
MassChallenge will select 125 finalists out of the 300 semifinalists. A decision on the finalists will be made around the end of May. Then, the finalists are to go through a 3 months mentoring program in Boston resulting in the Investor Day. This program will last from mid June to mid September this year.
If you find yourself among the finalists, RVC USA will provide accommodation of 3 (minimum) teams of two people in Boston for 3 months. Flights and visas at the expense of the participants (visa support provided by RVC).
