Accepting applications for small and medium-sized businesses award

Basis of Growth, the Award in support of small and medium-sized businesses continues to accept applications. The award is given to the representatives of regional and municipal authorities, public organizations and business circles of Russia. The purpose of the Award is to promote Russia's economic development by strengthening the position of small and medium-sized businesses.

The following tasks are put forward in the framework of the Award: to identify, promote and replicate the best practices of supporting and developing small and medium-sized businesses; to stimulate implementing innovative projects and programs to support small business; to promote a positive image of domestic entrepreneurs and stimulate continuous coverage of small and medium-sized businesses in the media.

To solve the given problems the following special events are planned within the project: Youth business-ideas contest It’s time to act!; Competition of programs and projects to support small and medium business and issue of Best Practices; journalism contest for small and medium business; Conference Effective forms of inter-sectoral collaboration for solving key problems in developing small businesses.

• The best project for promoting entrepreneurship

In addition, within the Award there will be a journalism competition for promoting a high quality of the information environment, stimulating a permanent and independent coverage of small and medium-sized businesses in the media.

The applications are accepted till the end of May 2012. The names of the winners of the Prize will be determined by the Expert Council in June 2012.

The award was initiated by the Social projects and programs Foundation supported by the RF Ministry of Economic Development and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
