Ural Plant of Computing Machines has become the winner of Intel

Three automation projects, carried out by UPCM specialists in 2011, took part in the contest organized by Intel. The competition touched upon automation solutions for small and medium business and was conducted among the Intel Corporation partner companies in the CIS.

Automation projects for small and medium business competition was held from September 28, 2011 to December 29, 2011 among the companies registered in the Partner Marketing Program Intel ® Technology Provider with the following levels of participation: the Platinum partner (Ural Plant of Computing Machines has this status for several years), Gold Partner, Registered partner.

The Ural Plant of Computing Machines with its development iCafe - online ordering system for food catering -.was recognized the winner.

The third place went Depo Electronics Ltd. from Krasnogorsk near Moscow, with its standard solution for virtualization and cloud services DEPO Cloud for midsize businesses, the second place went to Logicom JSC from Kazakhstan for the implementation of Smart Screen for retail stores.

UPCM specialists together with partners from Perm developed and implemented iCafe automated system for cafes and restaurants visitors serving in one of the Perm fast food chains.

How it works: a visitor chooses the dishes from the menu on the touch screen, incorporated into the table. Sitting at the table, the visitor waits for notification of order readiness on the screen.

Orders are automatically reflected on the monitor of the staff (the server). During this waiting period visitors can watch video translation from the camera in the kitchen to each table. The visitor’s monitor displays messages on the composition of the order, its price, cooking time, etc. After receiving the notification of order readiness, a visitor can go to the bar, get the order and pay for it.

In addition to the formation of the order and call for the staff from the table, the visitor can enter the Internet, view information about the facility, promotions and events, advertising. You can organize online chat between tables (from our table to your table), read and leave comments for the visitors.

In the future it will be possible to provide the customer the possibility of viewing digital TV channels while waiting for an order, placing video ads on the screens, etc. If it is in demand, it will be possible to make a plug for headphone jack like in planes or trains.

ICafe system can be applied to any fast food restaurant, but with some upgrades implemented in the evening restaurant type establishments.
