Viktor Vekselberg, the president of the Skolkovo Fund said that Skolkovo has already provided 100 grants for specific projects development, worth over 6.3 B RUR.
For many companies that presented such projects, grants are actually the key to survival and success - Viktor Vekselberg said on a Wednesday meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
He noted, in response to a President’s question, that not all companies and firms that submitted projects receive an equal financing, the amount depends on a particular project.
According to him, Skolkovo has made 25 agreements with large corporations, and 16 legally binding agreements were signed. The first research centers creation projects competition was held, 130 applications from around the world were submitted with a total of six Nobel laureates involved. 15 centers should be developed in total. Skolkovo hopes to launch three pilot projects to create them later this year.
Viktor Vekselberg told the president that there are 427 registered participants that have residential status, and more than 1,500 examined applications. There are also more than 10 K submitted applications.
