In early May of this year, about 20 startups of the Farminers business incubator will be shown ot the investors from Silicon Valley. This was stated by the former vice-president of Mail.ru Group, and now an Internet entrepreneur Igor Matzanyuk. According to him, the main goal is not to attract investment or strategic investors, but to immerge in a specific innovation environment.
In addition, the trip is aimed at getting new mentors and the adjustment of the companies according to the American market. In Russia, companies must retain development centers and marketing units and advanced developers - in California, - said Mr. Matzanyuk, adding that his company Farminers has already signed partnership with the American incubator Rocket Space, which will adopt his startups.
It is known that among the selected companies for the trip are the geo-social service Glomper, interior planner Planner 5D and Restaurant Guide Dish.fm.
This is not the only initiative of the business incubator Farminers: there is also a project of Nicholas Mityushin Deep Dive, which for already three years organizes trips for Russian startups to the U.S. for training and investment. In addition, last fall, Skolkovo held a road-show of their projects in the U.S. Silicon Valley.
