The company Photonics has first introduced an industrial sample of laser systems for soft tissue surgery stLase at the Photonics 2012, the RVC press service reports.
Last week, on April 17-20, the company Photonics, invested by venture capital fund Maxwell Biotech, created with the participation of OJSC RVC and the RVC Seed Fund, took part in the largest Russian laser equipment exhibition Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics – 2012. At the exhibition it first presented to the public a demonstration version of the laser system stLase, designed for soft tissue surgery, one of five industrial samples put together in the beginning of 2012.
The exhibition Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics, held annually at the Expo Center, is the most recognized and authoritative platform to demonstrate achievements in laser technology, optics, and optoelectronics. It brings together a representative audience, including not only technical experts and industry professionals, but also consumers and users of developed equipment. This year's exhibition was visited by about 8000 people, presenting 149 exhibition stands of participating companies from 12 countries (Russia, USA, Germany, France, China, etc.).
During the exhibition, technical experts working in the field of laser technology, as well as practitioners, general practitioners and dentists got acquainted with stLase laser system and drew attention to its main advantages: compactness, multifunctionality, ergonomics, and relatively low cost. The spheres of equipment application being developed by Photonics are dentistry, non-invasive cardio-vascular surgery, surgical interventions in obstetrics and gynecology, otorhinolaryngology, proctology, and other areas of medicine.
