The Skolkovo Fund to choose the best mobile diagnostic device

The Skolkovo Fund announces the Selection of the best concepts to create a mobile diagnostic device that can identify a range of diseases without physician participation. The device should be easy to use, requiring no reading long and boring manuals, and light so you can carry it.

Similar devices can be seen only in science fiction films, the Found says, but recent advances in biosensors and cloud diagnostics makes it possible to create such devices.

Any team that includes technical and medical scientists can take part in the Selection.

The team offered the best solution will receive a prize of up to 9 M RUR, and the opportunity to work in Skolkovo on its project.

Skolkovo M.D. is an ability to continuously monitor key health indicators, such as arterial blood pressure, electrocardiogram, temperature, and more. In addition, the mobile device should diagnose anemia, urinary tract infections, diabetes, heart rhythm disorders and other diseases.

Applications for participation in the selection can be submitted till June 2, 2012.

Semifinal of the Selection will be conducted (assessment of applications by Selection expert panel) from June 2 till July 3, 2012.

Announcement of finalists - August 1, 2012.

Introduction of device concept will take place from August 2 till November 2, 2012.

Winner will be announced in December 12, 2012.
