MTS became an innovation partner of the Communications Days’2012 - a single communication platform for the participants of the 24th International Exhibition for Telecommunications’2012 held in Moscow by the Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications. In the framework of the Sviaz-Expocomm MTS conducted series of events devoted to the youth innovations, including a Youth Innovation Summit and the awarding of the best regional start-ups’ projects in telecommunications.
For MTS, being an innovative company, ambitious young professionals are a strategic human resource and a source of new ideas for business development. It is the involvement of young talents into the company's activities and development of the telecom market that is our system of open innovation aimed at - the President of MTS, JSC Andrew Dubovskov said.
MTS held its second annual Youth Innovation Summit within the official Communications Days’2012 business program, summing up the first stage of the Telecom Idea 2012 competition that was supported by the Ministry of Communications of Russia, Innovation Management Institute of Higher School of Economics and the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation.
The Telecom Idea competition has received 163 applications from 11 regions of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. According to the Expert Council voting results, 56 projects took part in the second stage of the competition.
According to the results of the presentations and experts discussion, professional jury recognized the project to create a system of mobile biomonitoring Mobile Doctor (Kirov) as the winner of the Summit, spectators and participants of the Summit recognized a portable non-contact charger (Moscow) as the best project.
