Forbes magazine is known for its ratings on practically any topic. One of the most recognized ratings is the top 100 Midas List, according to which most successful investors in technology companies are defined. This is a very respectable rating, but it includes not so many women: only 5 in 2011’s rating.

However, it does not mean that there are few venture capitalists women. The founder of the Pitch Conference Melissa Pierce decided to correct this modest picture and made her own Midas List: 100 women in venture capital and angel investment. She used the research of Cindy Gallop - Venture Capitalists Women That All Need to Know and added her poll ratings to it.
