KAMAZ, OJSC will allocate 1.3 B RUR in 2012-2016s to create a center of research and development in Skolkovo. The agreement was signed by the president of Skolkovo Viktor Vekselberg and the CEO of KAMAZ, OJSC Sergey Kogogin.
Skolkovo and KAMAZ will cooperate in the following areas of research: energy-efficient technologies, information technologies, as well as space technology and telecommunications. It is expected that there will work 50 people in the center by 2015.
The very first research direction, which KAMAZ deploys in Skolkovo till 2015, will be energy-efficient technologies. The project envisages the creation of a serial hybrid with motor-wheels, sequential parallel hybrid motor-wheels and a motor-reducer, the application of fuel cells, gas and gas-diesel engines, LNG technology, composite materials and nanocoating.
