Additional grant holders are the winners of Apps4All mobile applications contests, and Your Business - Your Fame cloud services support program.

Over the past year of work, Microsoft Seed Found awarded 17 startups worth $725 K, the company said. A total of 10 years, the Found intends to support 100 Russian startups.

By helping young companies in products developing, we contribute to the development of the IT ecosystem in Russia, providing opportunities for startups to create innovative products. Allocating six small grants for mobile applications and cloud services prototyping through Apps4All and Your Business - Your Fame tenders, we are testing a new model - support the development of prototype products. In three months, we’ll have the results and define some further support for the projects that received grants - said Gaidar Magdanurov, managing director of the Microsoft Seed Fund in Russia. M

The first three companies received grants in March 27, when the winners of the Your Business - Your Fame contest were announced. The winners were: the Cloud Logistics project - a solution for organizations involved in logistics, the MGV project – an information and analytical system for human health diagnosis, consisting of a device for health monitoring and cloud services, the xGenCloud project - a system for the genetic analyzes interpretation in order to prevent the risk of diseases and determine the tolerability of drugs.

The winners of the Your Business - Your Fame contest also received consulting support from Microsoft on implementing cloud services in Windows Azure.

Three other projects awarded grants, are finalists of the First Russian competition of ideas and applications for mobile devices Apps4All, conducted in partnership with Microsoft. Contestants submitted their projects for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7 platforms. The first place was taken by the Donors project - a universal donor blood Assistant including calendar, map and stations rating, information on the process, news, notifications, private office. The second place was taken by the University in the Pocket application, which is a set of intellectual tools: a knowledge base, answers to questions in natural language, intelligent tests, checking the text and other sources for reliability, examinations management, aggregation and verification of the educational content. Microsoft has organized the competition that is very useful for those who have interesting ideas but cannot implement them. I suggested a few ideas to the competition, but only one of them won - Donor application. It has a calendar, news, station of blood transfusion, post reviews and comments, and other useful information for donors. This application is addressed primarily to experienced donors, but I'm sure we can attract the attention of those who are only going to take part in this noble mission - Igor Barinov commented on his victory.

The winners of the Apps4All contest received a grant to create a product - a mobile application.
