The first industrial park in Penza Region will be officially opened in June 1, 2012. It was called Yablochkov in honor of the scientist and the "electric candle" inventor, a native of serdobskaya village Zhadovka Paul Yablochkov. The total cost of the project exceeds 1 B RUR.
The industrial park will be specialized in information technology, precision engineering and materials science. It is expected that the first residents of the Yablochkov technopark will be small businesses that are created with the participation of Penza universities and companies previously residing in local business incubators. Companies will receive the status of the Technopark resident by the results of competitive selections.
Penza industrial park is to become a center of software development, secure electronic document management, telecom equipment, new materials and devices.
In 2011 alone 320 M RUR was spent on the establishment of the Technopark. In total, it is expected to invest over 1 B RUR in the project. The federal budget funds the construction and regional - the purchase of equipment.
