June 21-23, 2012 the 16th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will take place in St. Petersburg. It is an annual international conference on economics and business. There are over 2,500 political and business leaders, leading academicians, representatives of public and media from around the world that meet every year at the forum, held under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation, to discuss key current issues facing Russia and the world.
St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to be an event that will allow participants to get the latest information at first hand and participate in discussions about the global economy, including discussions on the growing role of emerging economies in shaping regional and global agenda.
St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2012 will be held a few months after taking office of President elect of the Russian Federation, and will be of particular interest to the business world, government leaders and media leaders who are interested in political and economic life of Russia. The Forum will provide a unique opportunity to meet the members of the renewed Russian Government during the period when Russia enters a new phase of reformation.
