Dell creates a new fund to support IT startups

Dell is announcing the establishment of a credit fund with charter capital of $100 M, which will be engaged in investing in technological startups and the provision of technological support required to maximize the potential of innovations.

The Fund will be called the Dell Innovators Credit Fund. Startups at initial stage of development can count on its support, receiving in exchange for 10% of their shares $150K to purchase Dell products with discounts, as well as to develop their business in general, according to the official blog of the corporation.

In addition, Dell plans to attract outside investors to work with promising IT-startups and to provide its technical expertise for young projects. In addition, assistance will be provided by Dell sales managers to help backed startups to start the selling process and get proceeds from their products and services.
