Nizhny Novgorod region to allocate 110 M RUR to support innovation

110 M RUR will be spent by the authorities of Nizhny Novgorod region to support innovative projects in 2012.

This was announced today at an international scientific symposium Nanostructures: Physics and Technology by Vladimir Nefedov, the regional Minister of Industry and Innovation.

According to him, 48.5 M RUR from this sum will be allocated from the regional budget and the rest - from the federal budget and extra-budgetary sources. In total, 215 innovation projects are to be financed from these funds.

Our main objective now is to bridge the gap between science and industry - the Minister says. - We have achieved some success, Nizhny Novgorod industrial enterprises implement research developments of Nizhny Novgorod scientists, but this process should be more active.
