The first National Summer School of Open Innovations took place in July, 2012 in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The event of such scale and subject was held in Russia for the first time, and was dedicated to one of the most important areas of change and development management - tools and mechanisms of open innovations.
As reported at RVC’s website, the participants of seminars and workshops have learned what open (sponsored) innovations are and how this model works in Russia and in the world, what the differences from the traditional formats of innovation are, what is a special attraction and mutual benefit of this technique. Also, participants were given the opportunity to try their hand in solving real social-oriented tasks for government and business challenges from large federal companies, to gain network-oriented professional contacts for design work, implementation or development of their own business.
Within the Summer School there were discussed and solved practical problems from the Ministry of Economic Development, the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan, OJSC RVC, ANO Agency of strategic initiatives to promote new projects, the SKOLKOVO Fund, JSC Sberbank, JSC KAMAZ, JSC MTS.
The organizers of the Summer School were: Administration of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Academy of Sciences of RB, Ministry of Industry and Innovation Policy of RB, Federal Network of Business Incubators Open Innovation Inc., JSC MC SberInvest, RB Regional Center of Innovations, Regional Office of Business Russia with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development, OJSC RVC, ANO Agency of strategic initiatives to promote new projects, the SKOLKOVO Fund.
