HackDay meets Garage48 is an event which allows the participants to gather a team over the weekend to make a prototype of their project, listen to a tutorial and to present their projects to colleagues, investors, mentors and market experts.
The joint event is organized by Russian HackDay - a series of events on the development of Internet projects from concept to prototype in two days, conducted since 2009, and Garage48 – a similar Estonian series of events that exists since 2010. Garage48 events take place in Eastern and Northern Europe and Africa.
For several years of existence HackDay and Garage48 created a special environment for novice internet entrepreneurs allowing a short time to run the project and test its idea.
HackDay meets Garage48 invites programmers, managers, designers, interface designers, marketers, PR-specialists, lawyers, specializing in IT, as well as all who have an idea of Internet project but no team for its implementation. At the event you will have the opportunity to discuss your idea with mentors - experts in various fields, get a large number of new contacts and meet potential investors.
HackDay meets Garage48 will take place at trendy St Petersburg ZonaSpace – a co-working center for startups. The presentation of projects and forming teams will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are devoted to work on projects.
In addition to projects developing the participants will be able to participate in the educational program. Speakers from Russia, Europe and the U.S. will talk about pre-seed investment, design and interface design for complex developments and other topics.
The event will end on Sunday evening with a demofest - representation of the developed prototypes.
The participation costs 700 RUR. 200 participants from Russia, Finland, Belarus, Ukraine and the Baltics are expected to come.
The cooperation of the two brands - Garage48 and HackDay - will increase the level of working weekend in general: more powerful speakers and mentors, well-known entrepreneurs as ordinary participants will give a well-designed projects at the end, we hope - Eugene Ovchinnikov, the organizer of HackDay Russia says.
