The Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov and the CEO of Special Economic Zone of technical and innovation type Dubna Maxim Prachik discussed the establishment and development of technoparks and special areas of technical and innovation type in Russia. The meeting took place in Kazan IT-Park.
The meeting was also attended by the Chief of the interaction with the residents of SEZ Dubna Alexei Stepanenko and the deputy director of the Center of Information Technologies of RT, director of Innopolis project Anton Grachev.
The first industrial park under the federal program Creation of technoparks in the Russian Federation in the sphere of high technologies appeared in Kazan in 2009. Today it is 100% occupied by residents. The total annual revenue of residents has almost reached 3 B RUR. The plan for 2012 is 3.95 B RUR, the Minister said. Tatarstan will officially open the second IT-Park in Naberezhnye Chelny under the program on August 25. It is planned to build Innopolis IT-city for 150 K residents.
The Ministry of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan, the curator of Innopolis project prepare an application to file to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia to obtain the SEZ of technical and innovation type status, Roman Shaikhutdinov said. Tatarstan is interested in Dubna’s experience on working with residents, where a technical and innovation zone was created in 2005, Roman Shaikhutdinov said.

For information: In accordance with the Resolution of RF Government of 2005, Special Economic Zone of technical and innovation type Dubna was established in Dubna city (Moscow Region). There are 82 resident companies registered in SEZ Dubna, including 34 that are specialized in information technology, 33 - in the physical and nuclear nanotechnology and in bio- and medical technologies, 15 - in the design of complex technical systems. At the same time 32 companies are planning their own construction, 41 companies are planning rent.
Resident companies of the zone have state preferences: office and laboratory space, free electricity, networks and utility services, the ability to purchase housing under the mortgage, tax incentives, special customs regime - duty-free import of equipment and materials.
