LinguaLeo about investment from Runa CapitalOnline service for English learning LinguaLeo has been developed in 2009 and opened the public access to the resource in 2010. In May 2012 the service attracted the largest tranche of investment: $3M from Runa Capital fund. The founder of LinguaLeo Aynur Abdulnasyrov tells Snews.ru edition how they spend the money and why the team of the service spent several months in Thailand and Montenegro.

According Abdulnasyrov, Thailand is an attractive place for working as everything is cheap there. And, in addition, leaving the Moscow office promotes the unity of the team and its members have the opportunity to check their entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take risks.

Investment from Runa Capital is not the first money received by the company. LinguaLeo raised $200K in October, 2011 from the founders of an Internet-service for teachers search Your tutor. It allowed increasing staff and adding new web service opportunities. $3M from Runa Capital received in May of this year made it possible to the team to work abroad - this time in Montenegro.

A Portuguese version of the service for localization in Brazil was developed there and several important updates of the service were also released.

Service has more than 1.8 million regular users and three quarters of them are from Russia.
