An application to unhipst Instagram images

An application to unhipst Instagram imagesThe main idea of Joe Matsirovski, which prompted him to create the Normalise project, was to unhipst photos taken with the popular application Instagram that modifies them applying various filters on the image.

But Joe thought it was not always interesting, and there are situations when a person wants to see things for what they really are. Instagram is an application that I love very much - Joe says - but often it does not reflect reality and creates its analogue that is valid only within the social network. Something had to be done about it, so I created the Normalise.

Anyone ready to pay a dollar can download the application. And the author does not guarantee that absolutely any image can be completely restored. According to Joe, to unhipst a picture is a very time-consuming task, as Instagram does not save original pictures. Normilise uses a set of sophisticated algorithms to eliminate the effects, but there is no guarantee that you get the desired result.

An obvious plus in the program is the ability to work not only with images taken by Instagram, but with any other - restoration with an excess of dark and yellow tones is supported as well as after passing a whole series of filters.

In the meantime, there are projects aimed at the fans of Instagram. Instacube project was launched on Kickstarter crowdsourcing platform. The project is a special frame that is capable of using Wi-Fi to take photos from your mobile device and display them on 6.5-inches screen. Instacube team asks Kickstarter’s users for $250K to realize the project. And they have already attracted $33K for one day.
