A managing company set up for Innopolis projectA special managing company with a capital of 1.5 B RUR has been created for Innopolis project. The objectives of OJSC Innopolis will include, in particular, cooperation with financial institutions, development institutions and attracting of investment in the project at different levels.

OJSC Innopolis was officially registered on August 23, 2012, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan – the Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov reported. The authorized capital of the company is divided into 15,000,000 shares at the nominal value of 10 RUR. The founders are equally represented by the Republic of Tatarstan in the Ministry of Land and Property Relations of the RT, OJSC Central Depository of the RT and LLC Managing Company PromInvest.

Innopolis is a future satellite city of Kazan. Its total area is about 2.2K hectares in Verhneuslovnskiy region of Tatarstan. The master plan of the future city has been developed by a Singapore company RSP-Architect.

Innopolis is a unique project the name of which implies that it will become an innovative city – the Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the RT Denis Sverdlov said at a meeting on the development of the Innopolis. - The essence of the project is a lot of innovations.

The project is being implemented in several stages. In the first stage (2012-2015) it is planned to create the infrastructure of 10K jobs for IT-specialists and about 15 K jobs in the infrastructure service of the new city. Industrial parks, residential buildings will be built for them, and it is supposed to create a University in conjunction with Carnegie Mellon University (USA), Roman Shaikhutdinov said.
