Five companies of Perm region will receive 50M RUR for R&D

The results of a contest organized by the Ministry of Industry, Innovation and Science of Perm region for the right to receive subsidies from the regional budget to implement R&D activities, have been summed up. Five companies received 50M RUR (in total), the same amount they would have to attract by their own.

A total of 24 projects were submitted to the competition. 5 winners were selected as a result of a multi-stage experts’ work:
- CJSC Axion-RDM (Development and implementation of technologies to create a domestic production of ion-exchange materials with adaptive selectivity)
- OJSC NPK Uralhimzavod (Creation of high water-holding of the new generation for the use in agriculture, urban landscapes and the development of industrial production technologies)
- Morion (Subscriber gateways for access to broadband networks FTTB / FTTH),
- CJSC NPP START (Development of technology and pilot plant of titanium dioxide powder synthesis (DT))
- CJSC Perm Chemical Company (Development of the technology and design of industrial plants for the development of methylsilane with capacity of 1000 kg/month).

The Ministry will sign contracts with all enterprises. In the end they will have to submit prototypes of high-tech products, the developments of new or updated technologies that are in demand of the market.

According to the Deputy Minister of Industry, Innovation and Science, Michael Raev, basic science, applied and innovative research are one of the most important sectors in addition to traditional manufacturing industries. Therefore, the Ministry considered the cooperation of science, universities and industry as a priority strategy of innovative development. - Mikhail Raev said.
