Alexander Loktev appointed to the post of RVC Infrafund directorFollowing the news about the resignation of Magdanurov Gaidar from the Microsoft Seed Investment Fund, RVC announces new appointment to the managerial position in the Infrafund. Alexander Loktev, a venture capitalist and independent consultant with 20 years of managerial experience, was appointed the Director of RVC Infrafund. He succeeds Svetlana Reznik, who successfully managed the fund since its inception, and took part in developing the concept of RVC Infrafund.

RVC calls this appointment a strategic decision. During the past two years Alexander Loktev was effectively working out the projects to build infrastructure for developing technological innovation and entrepreneurship, which completely coincides with the focus of RVC Infrafund.

In 2011-2012 Mr. Loktev worked as the Managing Partner of ADJ Consulting, as well as an independent consultant, working closely with state development institutions and regional authorities in the organization of innovation infrastructure.

In 2010-2011 Loktev took up the post of Skolkovo Technopark CEO. Earlier - in 2008-2010 - he founded and operated an incubator for Internet projects and InVenture seed fund, attracted $ 10 M of venture capital. Several projects of InVenture became the finalists of TechTour 2009 and won the National Commonwealth of Business Angels (SBAR) Prize. From 2004 to 2007 Loktev headed the Trade Secret publishing house venture project, which included publishing and Internet assets. In 2007 he successfully quitted the project, having closed the sale of Trade Secret to PH Kommersant and Metalloinvest structures. In 2006 he was included in the Top-1000 Russian Managers in the section Media business.

Starting from 2004, Alexander has been active in the field of venture capital and technological entrepreneurship, has founded and implemented a number of successful venture projects subsequently quitting them. Alexander was also engaged in packaging technology startups, preparing them for investment.

From 1990 to 1998 he took the whole career path in journalism and media management in Kommersant publishing house, from reporter to editor-in-chief of the Kommersant newspaper and the General Director of Kommersant-Daily.

RVC JSC thanks Svetlana Reznik, who led RVC Infrafund from its establishment, effectively managed the fund in the most important moments of the life cycle - the establishment, development of investment policies, team building and making the first transactions that gave rise to filling the fund's portfolio - and wishes her success in the implementation of new and interesting projects.
