Small innovative enterprises of Kostroma Region will have access to federal grants. According to the plans of authorities, active support in attracting grants will be provided by the Fund for Assistance to Small Enterprises in Science and Technology, the regional office of which to be established in Kostroma. All required documents have already been directed to the fund’s leadership.
The cooperation with the Foundation will support new innovative enterprises created at Kostroma universities. To date, there are 15 of them in the region and all can count on not only the regional budget but also on federal agencies that support innovative projects through grants.
The establishing of the Foundation’s regional office for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises will facilitate the access to the Fund’s grants for small innovative industries, as the decisions will be made on-site. We conduct the work on the Fund’s office registration in the region together with Kostroma Technological University, - the press service quoted the deputy governor of Kostroma region Pavel Alexeev.
To date, there are four major universities in Kostroma region. They have a sufficient base of intellectual property and their staff capacity, which includes more than 200 doctors of science, allows to organize an effectively working Expert Council for the selection of commercially promising projects such as information technologies, new devices and appliances and biotechnology.
One of the innovative businesses which has already applied for support in Rusnano is Tehnologos Company that produces nanostructured cutting tools for metal processing. There are other scientific and technical developments to be realized with the help of the Fund, - the deputy governor said.
