Bashkortostan plans its own IT-parkAn industrial park project in information technologies is being developed in Bashkortostan. According to the Minister of Communications and Mass Communications of Bashkortostan Boris Melkoedov, the republic has all the necessary prerequisites to create it: first of all it is a good base for personnel training, Bashkortostan is in the top ten Russian regions according to the level of the IT-market development.

The project of the IT-park is being developed, we have its business plan, - the head of the Ministry of Communications said during an online conference with the readers of Public electronic newspaper (PEN). - We are in negotiations with the federal government to include this project in the program of the Russian Federation technoparks.

In addition, the minister said, Bashkiria is actively working on the formation of regional IT-cluster, the essence of which is to coordinate the activities of all market participants in the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the industrial park will create a single platform for their communication.

It is also planned to create the conditions for start-ups in IT: they will have the infrastructure, the jobs with the necessary equipment, as well as assistance in economic and legal issues, - Boris Melkoedov said.

The readers of PEN asked Boris Melkoedov how Bashkiria stacks up against other regions in terms of high technology development, and he answered that according to the conducted ratings based on the UN method, the IT-market of the republic is the seventh largest in Russia.

I think that it adequately reflects the level of the republic development as a whole, - the minister said.
