Reception of applications for the Startup of the Year 2012 Award

Business Incubator HSE with the support of DNPPiP and RVC opens the opportunity for young entrepreneurs to compete for the startups’ Oscar - Start of the year 2012 Award. This year, the prize will be awarded for the fifth time.

The main objective of the Prize is to encourage good and efficient business solutions, note creative approaches to creation of new business, enjoy the success of bright startups and inspire young entrepreneurs to new developments.

The audience will not only see the success stories of young entrepreneurs and watch videos about the project-nominees at the award ceremony, but vote for their favorite startups.

The award is held in two stages. The reception of applications is open until October, 31 inclusive.

For a more objective and impartial evaluation of young companies, the prize will be awarded in several categories:
- The best innovative startup - startups that built a business based on the most promising technology.
- Breakthrough of the Year/Quick Start - a company that was founded in 2012 and showed the most rapid development and growth.
- Socially significant start-up - a company which business is aimed at solving social problems.
- Global Startup – startup that operates in markets outside Russia.
- Team of the Year - the best team in start-up market of 2012. The award is given with the support of PRUFFI.
- The best startup according to audience’s opinion.

The finalists of Startup of the Year 2012 Award will be published on November, 19. A solemn ceremony to name the Laureates of Startup of the Year 2012 Award will take place on December, 4 at Digital October.
