The results of Innovation Alley contest for startups

The results of a contest for startups Innovation Alley were presented on the 17th of October within the first day of Russian Internet Week 2012. The organizers of the contest - the editors of The Internet in Numbers and the organizing committee of RIW - received more than 120 applications for one month, and 14 of them became the finalists.

The finalists became the exhibitors of Russian Internet Week, forming a separate alley of their stands, which was called Innovation Alley.
One of the first visitors of Innovation Alley on October, 17 was the Minister of Communications and Mass Communications. Before his speech at the official opening of Russian Internet Week, Nikolai Nikiforov has a talk with three representatives of the winning projects noted by the expert jury: My-Apps, Rollad and 2can services. The Minister asked young entrepreneurs about their projects, plans and their business peculiarities.

N. Nikiforov said at the official opening of Russian Internet Week that the winners of Innovation Alley will become new points of Russia’s economy growth.

There are 14 finalists of the contest: My Apps, Rollad, 2Can, YouDo, MobiShop, Books aloud, HiConversion, Medcampus, Go to the doctor, Realtime Board, Lectrio, Juplin, Displair, Boat Hunter.

The first annual award Clouds 2012 took place within the framework of Russian Internet Week. It awards best projects that promote and develop SaaS-technologies in Russia. Awards were given in six categories by expert and popular vote.

The first awards were given to the projects in the Clouds for Business category: Elba - electronic bookkeeping and BuhSoft Online. Next Award category was Clouds for users won by Lingua Leo and CKB Kontur projects. The Clouds and science category had only one winner - The book Information systems of local self-government; the category Mobile Cloud was won by Ivedeon and Bitrix 24. Another category was Clouds for state. This category was created to note the achievements of companies promoting SaaS-technology on the state level - Dnevnik.ru and SI-UMI Edu Cloud projects.
