The representatives of venture capital funds, high-tech companies, business angels and start-ups' teams will meet at the finals of innovative technological projects Technovation Cup at MIPT on November, 8.
Technovation Cup is an annual competition of students' technological projects, organized by Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. This year it is supported by RVC, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs, Moscow Seed Fund, and VTB Capital and ABBYY. Top 13 contestants, selected by the competition's experts from more than 200 candidates from all over Russia will be presented at the finals.
I watch the development of Cup Technovation contest with interest and attend the event almost every year. The level of student's projects grows, and I am sure that such initiatives help the teams to improve their ideas, promote their advancement - David Young said, the chairman of ABBYY.
The finalists are students' innovative projects that will compete for the prestigious Cup and cash prizes of the contest. In addition, all finalists will receive a variety of opportunities from the partners of the competition.
Technovation Cup is held for the eighth time, selecting best Russian science and technology projects at the seed stage for the finals. Its goal is to help young researchers to turn their technologies into a working business. Over 850 students' projects out of 184 Russian universities have taken part in the Cup.
