RVC is developing new venture capital funds now and carries out the selection of managing teams. RVC has never been the sole investor in venture capital funds, but now plans to reduce its share in the future funds, which may not exceed 20% in some cases. The managing partner of Bright Capital Michael Chuchkevich noted that family offices in Russia are organized by the first-generation entrepreneurs who manage their own savings. They do not trust managing companies and believe that they are good managers. At the same time their children who will receive the capital through inheritance, will hire professional managers to make large profits, and private investments can become a tool for obtaining a high income.
At the panel discussion General Partnership: a success story, the experts noted that today it is too early to talk about a successful withdrawal from innovative start-ups in Russia - they are too young, the oldest ones are not more than 5 years. In future years the projects that are invested by the development institutions - RVC, Rusnano, Skolkovo - will be offered to investors, and the first investment return to the venture area will take place.
