Microsoft to invest $100M in Brazil technological center
Microsoft invests about $100M in the creation of its own development centre of advanced technologies in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. The centre will receive the investment to support IT solutions in the public sector.
In addition to hardware developments, the center will also focus on the development of Intel software.
The development of the most complex projects and large-scale researches will be conducted jointly with IBM and General Electric that also have their own research centers in Brazil.
Obviously, Microsoft believe that Brazil already has qualified staff with adequate training to work in the center, as well as growing consumer demand for high-tech products.
