Investors and experts to speak at the III Russian Tech Tour

The Organizing Committee of the Russian Tech Tour has announced the main list of delegates to take part in presentation sessions of the Tech Tour in Moscow and Kazan. Major international investors and representatives of tech companies will visit Russia to fund the most promising startups of the country.

Among the participants are Brian Zimbler, partner at Morgan Lewis; Gerry Docherty, the Chairman of New Media Partners; Alexander Galitsky, the founder and managing partner of Almaz Capital Partners and other known members of the international investment community. The third Russian Tech Tour will take place on April 23-26, 2013 at the major investment sites in Moscow and Kazan: Skolkovo, Digital October, IT Park. The event organizer is the European Tech Tour Association, the co-organizers of the event: RVC, Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, Pulsar Venture, the Skolkovo Foundation and RUSNANO. The general partner of the project is Moscow Innovation Development Centre.

Brian Zimbler shared his expectations: I expect that the Tech Tour will promote strong links between Russian IT companies and investors. Russia has a huge potential for the development of promising technologies, especially in the regions where many talented people are waiting for their moment of glory. Tech Tour will give a chance to the new generation of Russian tech geniuses to find investors, and will contribute to their success.

Gerry Docherty commented on the prospects of the upcoming event: I hope to learn more about the tech market in Russia and directly observe the effect that the Tech Tour has on the development of Russian companies.
