IDC presents its program to VCs
The grand opening and presentation of Moscow Technology Incubation Programme (MTIP) took place on April 15 in Moscow. The event was organized by Moscow Innovation Development Center (IDC) and the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow.
The technology incubation program has been developed by the capital's mayor decision Sergey Sobyanin. It aims to create an innovative environment and support mechanisms for early stage innovative companies, increase the number of companies in the city. The portfolio companies of accredited business accelerators and incubators, as well as the winners of BIT competition will come to the site of startup and accelerator API Moscow, which is located on the territory of the former confectionery factory Red October. In turn, the IDC continues accepting applications from potential partners to participate in the programme - business accelerators and incubators - until May 15, 2013.
The partners will be selected by the Programme Council Members represented by leading Russian and foreign VCs, government and business representatives. They are:

Alexandra Johnson (DFJ Aurora),
Alexander Turkot (Maxfield Capital),
Aygul Khalikova (McKinsey),

Alexey Kostrov (Moscow Seed Fund),
Andrey Zyuzin (CISCO),
Dmitry Repin (Digital October),
Dmitry Molchanov (SBI SBM),
Catherine Bulycheva (SBI IDC).
Particular attention during the selection will be paid to the business reputation of potential partners of the programme and their willingness to compete fairly. The Council will choose the partners until June 1, 2013, and they will be able to start working with their residents and startups from the first decade of June. The estimated working period of one acceleration session is from 3 to 6 months.
