The event will take place from the 27th to 28th of May, 2013 in Hypercube of the Innovation Center and will become Russia's largest platform for the startup community creation.
The key partners of StartUp Village are The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), Technopark Skolkovo, Microsoft Corporation, Startup Sauna, TechNode, Rusbase.
It is planned that more than 3K people will attend the international conference: representatives of innovative companies, venture capital funds and development institutions, governments and media, mentors and business angels. StartUp Village will involve more than 1K companies and 300 investors. Honorary guests of the event will be international experts in tech startups, in particular, the participants of Slush Conference in Helsinki and Pioneers Festival in Vienna.
Pekka Viljakainen, the Presidential Adviser of the Skolkovo Fund, ideologist and inspirer of the event: The main purpose of StartUp Village is to consolidate the startup community in Russia to give innovators direct access to investors, partners, large corporations and media. Startups and investors will be able to teach and to learn, present themselves and find like-minded people, get expert advice and help their colleagues. The Skolkovo Fund plans to conduct StartUp Village every year, and we are confident that this event will become the largest startup conference in Russia.
There will be presentation of startup companies and investors, panel discussions and workshops, stories of success and failure from the first person, training and many other activities organized for StartUp Village visitors.
