Gazprom, Russia?s natural gas monopoly, applies IT algorithms for process control automation and uses innovation compressor plants at its Zapolyarnoye oil-gas condensate field under development in Russia?s Extreme North, Yamburg.ru, a regional web portal, reported citing a press release by Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg, a local Gazprom subsidiary. The Zapolyarnoye oil-gas condensate field was discovered in 1965 in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, in the Tyumen region north-east of the Urals. Zapolyarnoye is one of the world?s largest, with an estimated natural gas reserve of more than 3.5 trillion cubic meters.
