Tatarstan scientists offer new technology to boost oil production
Tatneft, a sizable oil company in Russia?s Tatarstan, is expected to realize its new project aimed at boosting well deliverability.
Tatneft, a sizable oil company in Russia?s Republic of Tatarstan, is expected to realize its new project that would help improve oil field development by drilling interconnected wells through payout beds, Rusenergy.com reports. The effort is designed to increase well deliverability by ensuring deeper tapping into carbonate basins and by applying gravitational and differential pressure impact on an oil pool. According to Tatneft, a technology solution and hardware systems have been developed to enable cementless casing of offshoots with hexactinal extendible pipes while keeping the diameter of a well unchanged. In addition, the oil company may want to use a new technique of interlinking horizontal drain stems with oil producing wells by applying hydrofracturing and by installing a disconnector and a packer in the bottomhole zone. The technology has been reportedly put together by scientists at TatNIPIneft, a Tatneft research arm. The Tatarstan Academy of Sciences is said to have recommended that the project be put on a list of programs to be co-financed by the regional government. The endeavor will have the full green light if Tatneft agrees to kick in its share...
