Volga developers to help gas producers step up and improve well drilling
OZNA, an oil and gas RandD and service company in the Volga area, has developed brand new equipment to speed up the drilling of gas producing wells.
OZNA, an oil and gas R&D and service company in Bashkortostan, in the mid-Volga area, announced late in May that it has developed brand new equipment to speed up the drilling of gas producing wells. According to OZNA, the new product has been designed to order from Gazprom-Bureniye, a drilling arm of Gazprom, Russia?s natural gas monopoly. This is a special holder, which is part of a drill stem. It is developed to help gas producers prevent possible loss of drilling equipment when building a well, as the holder is said to inhibit borehole-to-bed differential pressure effect, lower friction between the drill stem and hole walls, and ensure a projected boring cutter load. The new equipment is expected to make sure a drill stem is not stuck in slanting hole areas during well deepening and no drilling gear jams occur in drilling or round trips. OZNA?s R&D and design bureau has also developed for the holder a special protective greasing system to avert dirtying and substantially increase overall equipment?s service life. Headquartered in the Republic of Bashkortostan, OZNA has operations in four out of Russia?s eight large Federal Districts...
