Sergey Azatian, the former managing director of Marshall Capital, headed the board of Inventure Partners fund founded by him in early 2012 together with the former executive director of Morgan Stanley Anton Inshutin.
In his new position, he will be responsible for strategic planning of the company and forming its investment portfolio to include companies focused on consumer demand in online and mobile services, telecommunications, financial services and e-commerce.
The average size of a single investment ranges from $2M to $5M for early stage companies, and $50M for companies with a significant market share.
Sergey Azatian worked as the managing director and partner of Marshall Capital investment fund from 2005 to 2013. Dmitry Skuratov, the son of the former Russian General Prosecutor Yury Skuratov, will take his position in the fund.
Inventure Partners Fund was established in 2012. The fund invests in Russian and international companies operating in the emerging technologies industry focused on online consumer segments, mobile apps, software and e-commerce. The fund's portfolio includes the following companies OnlineTours, Fogg Mobile, Happlink, GetTaxi, 2can, GetGoing, Starcard.
