ActiveCloud Development received investments from Moscow Seed Fund and Softline

Moscow Seed Fund in cooperation with Softline Venture Partners invested project of ActiveCloud Development. The aim of the project is creation of a Fully Packaged Product of CloudBox for construction of a ready cloud platform IaaS/PaaS.

At the moment Gartner recognizes IaaS to be a highly developing cloud service, including in Russia. The service affords customers to get ready infrastructure from a “cloud”, not spending money on buying its own equipment, licenses, etc. However in order to construct monitored “clouds” for clients, the provider needs to hire a team of programmers, develop a system of virtualization management, then integrate it to system of rating and billing. There is an alternative – to buy ready proprietary solution, adjust, integrate, and pay vendor for using this solution. On practice construction of monitored “cloud” infrastructure is very expensive and long lasting, this is why many projects on “cloud” construction are implemented during the years and as a result do not pay for itself.

ActiveCloud Development team started creation of universe program product CloudBox, ready IaaS-platform, which can be quickly integrated with corresponding systems. Such Fully packaged product solution will allow provider to manage “cloud” developemtns of various suppliers: CloudStack, VMware, OpenStack, CloudFoundry.

“I believe that a program product CloudBox will appear to be on demand, because it has no analogues on Russian market, and allows operators to get Fully packaged product for constructing its own IaaS-cloud. The idea of such product creation appeared after increase of customers demand on construction of monitored cloud service with the use of ActiveCloud technologies. We have decided to create a universe solution which will allow us to automate expansion of our own cloud platform, and it will easy integrate with inner provider`s systems.
