Amount of filed applications to enter club “100 innovators” twice exceeded limit of places for Russia

Amount of applications, filed by Russian innovators for participation in the Club “100 innovators” twice exceeded the amount of reserved places. Participants of the contest compete for the right to present their ideas to big investors and consult with leading experts in the sphere of high technologies within the limits of Forum “Open innovations”. Shortlisting will continue till September, 1 2013.

The Club “100 innovators” is annually formed on the basis of applications of innovation projects authors especially for participation in international Forum “Open innovations”. Half of places in this Club are reserved for Russia – the country that organizes and hosts huge international event. The selected participants, who entered the Club, get the opportunity to visit key events of the Forum, meet with leading international experts and players of innovative sphere. Especially for them the organizers developed unique format – speed dating with investors.

Under the terms of selection, participants of the club can be authors of unique innovative projects, with English language knowledge, not older 35 years, ready to develop and improve their projects.

“Participation in youth program of the Forum “Open innovations” is a unique opportunity to learn actual trends, get acquainted with key experts of the market: on the one hand – from science and big business, from the other hand – with entrepreneurs, possessing experience and knowledge about how to achieve success in innovative sphere”, - explains director of strategic communications department, member of a board of director of RVC Eugeny Kuznetsov. – Participation in the Forum is an opportunity to form positive changes, enter society of leaders, and go further all together”.

In a youth program of the Forum “Open innovations” in 2013 will take part representatives of government sector, top-management of the largest hi-tech companies, business angels and experts of venture funds, including: chief editor, publisher of MIT Technology Review, head of MIT Enterprise Forum Jason Pontin, president on international manufacturing of Sony Pictures Television, president of Sony Pictures Entertainment Andrea Wong, director general of Nokia Siemens Networks Rajeev Suri.

“Such fields as Forum “Open innovations” and its youth program not only give a chance to listen to great leaders in the sphere of innovations, but also allow breaking the tether of traditional thinking and become a part of fast growing entrepreneurial society”, - adds presidential advisor of Fund “Skolkovo” Pekka Viljakainen.

Shortlisting for participation in the Club “100innovators” will continue till September, 1 2013. International Forum “Open innovations” will be conducted in Moscow from October, 31 till November, 2 2013; youth program starts the day before, on October, 30 2013.
