Energy giant Rosseti lays down innovation investment plan
Rosseti (Russian Grids), the world?s largest energy company, has announced plans to invest more than $1bn in energy-related innovation.
Rosseti (Russian Grids), the former MRSK Holding reorganized by this past June, announced last week its plans to invest more than $1bn in energy-related innovation. ?For renovating backbone networks, more than $330m has been allocated; on upgrading distribution networks, in excess of $670m will be spent,? the company emphasized. Rosseti expects to fully use the investment by 2017. The firm says it will be developing its electrical networks using ?smart grid? technologies. Such a project is already being pushed in Skolkovo, the government-sponsored innovation hub under construction just outside Moscow.
