Novosibirsk innovators will continue receiving Government support in 2014-201

The Novosibirsk authorities will continue the government support of innovative projects during 2014-2018, directing on its financing 150M RUB.

The Government of Novosibirsk region approved a project of a government support program for scientific-manufacturing centers in the region for 2014-2018. Its aim is to stimulate innovative projects with the use of scientific and research and productive potential of local enterprises. According to press center of a regional administration, a new program will continue the program, which has been started two years ago.

The Government support for scientific-manufacturing centers is provided on a competitive basis in Priority Development Fields of industry of the Novosibirsk region. Priority Development Fields include energy efficiency and cost-effective use of resources, nuclear technologies, space-based processing technologies and telecommunications, medical equipment and pharmacy, and a range of other directions. The amount of support is 25-50% from actual expenses of an enterprise.

According to interim of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurial development of the region Yuryi Sokolov, as a result, the enterprises that receive support, should create at least 55 prototypes of new products, technologies, materials.

All innovation projects, receiving the Government support at the expense of the regional budget, are now financed by development institutions and state corporate, in particular ROSNANO and ROSATOM.
