26 projects entered the final of the Academy Park summer school

In August, 6 in the Academy Park there have been summarized the first results of the summer school for starting innovation entrepreneurs. Among 40 defended projects the next stage entered only 26 of them.

During two weeks participants of the summer school have worked on their business ideas, projects and ordered tasks together with hundreds of experts. As a result there have been formed 40 teams for participating in the final, who presented their development on three directions: information technologies, instrumentation, nanotechnologies and nanomaterials/biotechnologies and medicine. During three hours in the buildings of the Academy Park there has been held expert sessions on sections. Participants have presented their projects to the experts – top-managers of innovation companies among the residents of the Techpark. “Schoolchildren” have not only presented their projects, but also answered the questions of jury concerning projects` being in demand and uniqueness of a development, the idea newness, its business model and profitability. At the end of the expert session starting entrepreneurs received opinions and advices from professional specialists, and as a result there have been chosen only 26 teams for entering the final. During next three weeks they will work with experts individually.

The projects, taking a special attention of jury, have been presented to the Governor of the Novosibirsk region Vasily Yurchenko, chief of the Siberian division of Russian Academy of science Aleksander Aseev, and also to all the guests of semi-final. These are: 1) the development of peptide-based vaccine for treatment and preventive measures of breast cancer of dogs and cats, 2) the project of participants from Tomsk under the name “Sun trackers and its adjustment with concentrate”, and 3) online training center, educating remotely with employment guarantee.

“I would like to specially greet those who came from other regions, - said Vasily Yurchenko to the participants of the summer school. – The Novosibirsk region is an open territory, and I am sure that you will like those conditions in which you will work till the end of this month under your ideas. I want to say thank you to all the organizers for such a great atmosphere on the Winter and Summer schools during three years, and each school differs from the previous one. Create and offer the new! You are young and you are allowed to make mistakes, this is why the more mistakes you make and rectify here, the easier you feel in the future”. I wish you pleasant stay in the Academy Park, and of course, achievement of your aims.

The next projects` examination for participants of the summer school will be conducted at the end of the August within the limits of the Summer School 2013 final. There will be defined development that are recommended to business incubators of Academy Park, and the six best teams, who will get a right to fight for prize fund of the School. At the beginning of September it will become known who receives money: the contest on 1 million of rubles will take part within the limits of International innovation forum “Interra”.
