Youth Startup-weekend “Garazh48” ended in Kaliningrad region

The International youth Startup-weekend “Garazh48” ended in Kaliningrad region. RVC supported the event as an intellectual partner.

Participants of the event during 48 hours (since Friday evening till Sunday evening) passed the whole cycle of the Startup: from thinking over idea, forming a team and creation of the operating prototype till presentation of IT-project to the investor. Each team included programmers, designers, idea authors, marketing experts, entrepreneurs, PR-experts, and others.

The team BLINKY SQUAT became the winner. Participants of the team created a multi-platform computer game with innovative game-player. Developers of this novelty see as their potential target audience people, getting tired from the trivial round.

The second place took the team BENDER RODRIGES, which has developed a robot, controlled remotely via Wi-Fi by a Smartphone or PC. Robot possesses a unique set of functions, in particular, it can transmit streaming video.

This year in the event except Russian youth took place their age mates from East country, Russia, Poland, Sweden, India, Republic of South Africa. In a work under creation of Startups young entrepreneurs were assisted with invited mentors, famous Russian and foreign experts in various spheres of activity. Among mentors there are Ragnar Sass, co-founder of the Company Pipedrive (CRM-system for business, attracted million dollars of investments in Silicon Valley), Uildis Laters co-founder of the Company Infogr.am (service for infographics creation), Mike Rayner, Chief of the Startup accelerator program Startup WiseGuys and others.

During its three-year history the event became one of the most actual practice Startup-events. Young entrepreneurs value “Garaxh48” for its opportunity to get knowledge and experience of creating new companies having a limited budget, and organizers see its formula for success in the format of this event, which allows forming distinct type of mind of future founders of their own Startup companies.
