The Startup-school “Taiga”, which from September will start its work in Irkutsk, will prepare grassroots 50 innovation projects by the end of 2013. These projects will be presented to potential investors at the Baikal Venture Fair in 2014, - informed at the press-conference on Friday Head of innovation development administration of Irkutsk State University, director of the Startup-school “taiga” Yevgeny Semenov.
Such event is the first in the region on creation of infrastructure for intense preparation of projects for its presentation to venture investors.
“The projects` preparation will consist in two parts – expert and practice. At the practice section there will work local specialists, i.e. scientists and entrepreneurs of the Irkutsk city, and at expert section there will take part invited leading experts of the market. One of them is managing director on strategy and engineering of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of ROSNANO Yevgeny Yevdokimov. By the end of the year the city will visit representatives of the Russian Venture Company”, - noted Ye.Semenov.
The projects` preparation supposes giving to the team required knowledge, provisiob of infrastructure services. Within the limits of the Startup-school there will be held investment sessions, where the project teams will learn to present their ideas, get notes from experts. It is expected to conduct round tables, seminars, master-classes. Thanks to support of the city administration this preparation will be held free.
Besides this, it is planned to create the first in Irkutsk co-working – creative area or place, equipped by all required for joint work for those who has no opportunity or wish to rent an office. Co-working will be located in the first building of Irkutsk State University. Besides, the Startup-school “Taiga” will work there too.
