Intel invests in the competitor Google Glass

The Company Intel has invested the “significant” sum of money in its competitor Google Glass – Canadian Recon Instrument. The investment round, headed by Intel, will help it to continue the product development, make its marketing, operation activity and improve technologies.

Simultaneously with this, Recon has agreed with the Fund Intel Capital, that the Corporation will share with the Startup-company by its experience in the sphere of micro-electronic production, and later two companies “will have the exact strategy on realization of revolutionary portable electronic products”.

It has been stated in Intel, that initially the Company has already invested funds in this direction: in June there have been made investments in companies Thalmic Labs, which also develops portable electronic gadgets, and initially this month Intel invested in the Company Quark, which projects ultra-compact processors for portable electronics.
