The first launch complex of the Innopolis – innovation town-satellite of Kazan – will be put in commission by the and of 2015, informed RIA NOVOSTI with reference to the announcement of deputy Prime-Minister – the Minister of informatization and communication Roman Shaikhutdinov.

According to the message, the first launch complex of the Innopolis includes construction of buildings with the total area of 300 thousand square meters. It will contain the main technopark, the University, social infrastructure and living for five thousand people. The cost of buildings of the first launch complex is not disclosed.

“The idea of the Innopolis establishment has been generated in 2010, and the official start has been given to the project in June, 2012. Nowadays has been developed master-plan of the Innopolis, prepared by architecture-planning bureau “RSP Architects Planners & Engineers” (Singapore)”, - said Mr.Shaikhutdinov.

The perspective amount of the satellite-town will comprise 155 thousand people, among which 60 thousand are high-qualified specialists. The Innopolis building will allow solving the problem of lack of qualified IT-specialists in the Republic. According to forecasts, by 2018 its deficit can comprise more than 300 thousand people.

A pat of the Innopolis territory has already received a status of a special economic zone of technical-and-implementation type. Resident of the special economic zone will be offered tax remissions.

The important element of the Innopolis will be IT-University, which is planned to be established jointly with the University Carnegie Mellon (USA).
