Generation S: 2 additional teams will fight for the main prizeThe list of “Generation S” finalists is formed. To 17 initially defined finalists, selected from semifinalists of the BIT contest (Business of Innovation Technologies), have been added more 2 teams: “3Dmetalprint” and “BioMacroGels”.

The accelerator organizers have given one more chance to six the most perspective teams to fight for entering the final. As a result from pitch-sessions, according to the expert jury, there have been recognized projects “3Dmetalprint” and “BioMacroGels”. As many other finalists, they have received a chance to present their projects to investors on the forum “Open Innovations”, and fight for the main prize 5M rubles.

“Organizers have presented to teams one more opportunity to approve oneself, and they have used this opportunity. During this time participants have edited a business-model of their projects, and defined new target segments of the market. The selected projects have presented their really breakthrough innovation solutions and technologies. We hope that all finalists-startups of the Generation S will be highly estimated by a wide professional society at the investment session, and will get business offers on their projects’ realization and its entering the market”, - noted deputy director general of the Moscow Innovation Development Center Yekaterina Bulycheva.

The company “BioMacroGels” offers solutions for water purifying from oil-products. These solutions, according to the project founders, can be used in industrial wastewater pollution, accidental spill on the surface and in the water column in crude oil output.

The company “3Dmetalprint” develops solutions for 3D-printers, In particular, the offered solutions help in fitting up printers with modification technology of the material structure due to coincident thermal ultrasound and electromagnetic action. The technology intends combination at one installation in one technology cycle of producing by additive method and details, and ceramic form-cover with further penetration of the whole detail volume in this form with the help of induction heat.

All in all in “Generation S” took part 70 teams from 18 cities of Russia and CIS countries, which have been selected from more than 1500 presented applications. The program of educational cycle consisted from the month online-course, and also two-weeks education at the field of Startups acceleration API Moscow. A mentors and experts with projects within the acceleration program worked more than 90 leading experienced businessmen and consultants. By results of pitches, 18 teams became finalists of the program and will present their projects to investors on the Forum “Open Innovations”, where will be defined a winner and two awardees.

Organizers of the contest-accelerator “Generation S” are RVC and the Innovation Development Center with support of the Department of Science, industrial policy and entrepreneurship of Moscow. The partner of the program is the Digital October Center.
